Still not sure how it happened but as I was trying a new rib recipe on the BBQ yesterday I left it unattended for a few minutes and came back out to find my BBQ on fire from grease and marinade. Black smoke billowing from it up the house wall and everything. I turned the BBQ off and luckily nothing actually caught fire on my house. But I do have a black stain on my house's stucco wall about 4x6 feet. It's greasy soot obviously and I don't want to damage my stucco with heavy scrubbing or excessive pressure washing. __________________ |

Never tried it on stucco, but had grease on my concrete and it worked when nothing else did. Not sure if it will stain or ruin your stucco, but Zep heavy duty grease and grill cleaner. You can buy it at Canadian Tire. As with anything try it on a small area first. Prob going to take a few applications, but if this doesn't work I think nothing will. Spray and leave on for 10 mins wash, lightly wipe and do again. |

I wonder if simple lye and water would take care of it. i use it to clean old cast iron, it eats organic material but won't touch inorganics. Spray it on, let it sit, rinse and repeat. Scrubbing probably wouldn't be required. I have some here if you're anywhere near Bonnie Doon area. |

You could try a product called La's Totally Awesome from Dollar Tree. I use it in my smoker and the soot literally drips off. I don't even have to scrub. Spray it on then let sit for 10 minutes then rinse. Repeat as necessary. __________________ "The problem was this little thing called the government and laws." |

I have something that will work and it isn't near as horrific as some of the suggestions here or as useless as anything with a CLR label on it. I work for a local manufacturer of everything from Eco certified degreaser products that actually work and aren't an arm and a leg, up to bitumen emulsifiers for oilsands clients. No problems giving you a sample to test. PM me if you're interested. Please don't use the lye suggestion above. Lye is a caustic and although it works wonders on wet grease it'll damage aluminum, your eyes, and skin if you aren't careful. |
